Just to let you know, yesterday, thanks to the efforts of Carole Kingaby, Mary Brennan and Joannie Rude, six out of eight puppies were adopted at the new PETCO store in el Centro, and were not brought back to the "PUPPY PALACE" in San Felipe.
Next weekend we'll send those two puppies back, and even if we have to give them away for FREE, our goal is to place them in homes before they get too big and become unadoptable. Carole K. also has six more puppies living at her house, and Caroleanne from Dr Solis's clinic has one additional---all will go up to PETCO next weekend for adoption. We hope to take some kittens up too. Some are already fixed, vaccinated and ready to go! If you'd like to be part of ot he "PUPPY & KITTEN POSSE" and do adoptions next Saturday, please let us know thru email.
The new "PUPPY PALACE" on the highway will be ready for habitation by Monday or Tuesday of this week. Marcia Bandera has stepped up with a great water misting hook-up system to keep puppies cool, and she is also lending us her handyman to help with the project. Gary Burnham is supervising, but we could still use one or two other guys or gals to help with the project. Thanks also to Sandi and Denny Flannigan.
We also need travel kennels and pens for our spay/neuter clinics. Blankets and towels are also in demand. Next clinic is August 16th and then again on August 30th at the Conalep School, here in town on Manzanillo. You can always pick up a schedule at Solis's office and the Segunda.
